This is a 9+ minute recording of me driving in los angeles traffic at night. Various turn signal sounds, brake pedal pushes and releases, and at various points you hear outside traffic passing. Not sure if it's useful, but here it is anyway. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

An mp3 recording of several musicians testing their instruments and playing musical passages, while the audience chats and converses. Results in quite a discordant/tumultuous sound. Taken with a black sony ic voice recorder, at the boettcher concert hall with the denver young artists orchestra. Use however you'd like. God bless!.

Cheap no-name tape player playing a cassette during a squeaky moment. I opened the walkman-esque player for this and put the zoom h2n recorder directly on top of the tape being played. Hold up, let me take a picture. Less weird version: https://freesound. Org/people/qubodup/sounds/622237/.

Urban rooster from portland, or calls at 0:01, 1:20, 3:08, and 5:25 with an array of sounds in between: airplanes overhead, cars driving by, assorted bird chirps and caws, and even some wind boom-noise to play with. An accidental bump of the mic at 0:08 (sorry) should be the only major blemish in an otherwise funny first field-recording.

Outtakes from the second massive freesound recording. Our host for the day (henk) entertains people while making them do weird sounds. Here henk says: "kwetteren en kwinkelen doe dat thuis". Translated this means more or less: "making smalltalk, do it at home". Audio cut up and normalized.

I was bored and made this loop on fl studio. I made this loop using no drum samples. (adding some effects to little motor sound i recorded)=========================================for making this, you mainly need gross beat with drum loop preset on volume (the bottom one) section. I have explained all the presets i used for this in the sound i have linked below. The another loop drum loop i made using this and layering some drum sampleshttps://freesound. Org/people/the_isot_is_back/sounds/640143/. Original motor sound that i used for making thishttps://freesound. Org/people/the_isot_is_back/sounds/640146/.

One of my brothers came by spontaneously to say hello and he slammed the door behind him hahah. It was non-aggressive of course, the door is heavy and has to be slammed in order for it to be properly closed !. Little did my bro know that i was recording and that i managed to catch the door slam !. The house was dark, empty and quiet - he wondered wtf was going on lol. It sounds a bit distant, it's because i was in the bedroom and not in the entrance. This sound is natural too, which is perfect. Note: make sure to check out the other matrixxx-sounds! the sound quality is always better when you download the sound(s)! ⛄. Enjoy!/matrixxx.

I placed about 200 small brass ball-bearings (2mm diameter)on to a "half-life analogy apparatus" (which i have access to but i've never see the like using a google search. Basically its a titled wooden box with holes. The ball bearings roll down some of which fall through the holes and are collected in a beaker. The remainder are collected at the end of chute. Anyway, i just like the sound and hope someone can make use of it !i used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

Tiny waves lapping the quartzite pebbles (1-2cm diameter) on a beach at lake pedder. Recorded 21 march 2019, 3am, with marantz pmd661 and rode nt55. Exceptionally quiet night, no wind, no other sounds. The gordon river power station was 20 kms distant. Other mechanical equipment or vehicles greater then 50 kms. I could just perceive the electrical hum from the station (or from transmission lines), and so could my partner, but i can’t hear it on the recording. At 1. 30 on the recording you can hear my partner’s soft cough coming from our tent 50m away. The crackles that sound like static come from the quartzite pebbles as they are moved around by the tiny waves. See also "tiny waves lapping #2".

Assisted breathing for my agonizing friend the day before he died. He told me that the sounds bothered him (morphine made him sensible to ears), that everything was magnified, so i raised the input level to 9, removed the lo-cut and the limiter in order to better understand how he perceived it. He died listening to the annoying noises of the environment, but he will not suffer anymore. See you never more my dear friend. Recorded using zoom h1n (70% of battery when recording).

Note: feel free to use this sound in one of your own projects. If you want to, you also can send me a link. I would love to hear some of my field recording into someone’s work.

I´ve recorded this sound produced by a large water wheel of 4 meters diameter, in the historical part of augsburg bavaria, part of town where early industry and work shops used water energy for different purposes. This water wheel does not drive any gear any more, it is just for to give an impression of that old water driven industry. The wheel is driven by one of many former industry channels, small rivers through that part of town.

This one has a very vocal blackbird finishing off the evening (8pm). All recorded whilst staying in a converted barn in rhos, wales. Recorded on my zoom h4n, there maybe some wind noise in places and maybe a very high flying jet, but mostly it is just the sound of nature. There is a nearby stream in the background too. These are the original uncompressed untreated files. Hope it is useful to someone.

Production step :this sound is from a sound recording of a key hiting an iron bar. I take just one sound from my reccording and copy/paste in a new track. I amplify the sound and do a low pass filter. I copy paste my track and create another one just above. I move this new track for create a gap between the two tracks. On the second track i supress some of the beat for create a rythm. On the second track i change the pitch, for making a sound more high-pitched. Description :this sound looks like the ring of a bell tower. The rythm change every two bars who makes him unique and not settled. This sound is, for me, a reference of the track begining of dark techno music. Typologie de schaeffer :. Recorded on a damp night from a beach house at wrightsville beach, north carolina. Audio has been treated for some wind. The whole recording was like an hour long but i couldn't upload that much. Tip: to extend the sound, you can cross-fade this sample pretty much anywhere with itself and the effect is virtually unnoticeable.

A 70bpm beat/loop sequenced using renoise 3. 0. Samples were either created from scratch or modified after being recorded in my basement using the sampler built into renoise. The microphone used for recorded samples (of a keychain) is the one that comes along with the m-audio microtrack 24/96. Sounds good in reverse too.

Several spitting noises recorded with the aim of getting a realistic sound and nothing besides spitting. I actually spit (not dry spitting) into a plastic bag. The impact on the plastic bag can be heard, but it isn't too bad. The first half is p-spitting and the second half is t-spitting (shape mouth is held in). A little bit of horking and squishing as well. Recorded with a shure sm58 in a treated room.

Recorded in 2005 on an unusually chilly september day, while walking in downtown ottawa, friends and i came across a ceremonial event at the war cenotaph. I thought i'd record the sounds of traffic, people and background music and my timing was good as the choir launched into a sombre and touching rendition of danny boy to remember fallen soldiers of war.

Recorded in my backyard with rode ntg-3 / dead wombat on zoom h6 recorder. Starts off with one decent short clap of thunder, but mostly rolling low rumble thunder and some rain here and there. Some of the rain drop sounds are sharp off of metal, some is just lightly hitting the ground. Some nearby trees blowing add to some of the ambiance.

Rain spout drip after heavy rain, recorded with the zoom h2n in spatial mode in a very reverberant space. This is an ambisonic recording - b-format, ambix. Do to a limitation of the h2n, it does not have a height channel. You can decode this file to mono, stereo, or surround with rode's sound field plug-in.

An ambient, white noise wall of sound recorded as i walked through our well ventilated university print shop. You can hear a variety of machine noises that layer to create a constant hum, with a swelling rise and fall like occasional waves. Some of the vents whistle, some tick or click and purr. Near the very end, there is a single sharp click. The ventilation system is an anti-fume tube series used for printmaking. Recorded on a microtrack ii. General information: recorded indoors on handheld microtrack while walking from room to room. No noticeable footstep sounds. No voices. Room has high ceilings and cement floors.

A short recording of construction work on a ten-storey apartment building in the blackhorse road area of walthamstow, london. General construction noises. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. If any of these sounds have been of help, and you are feeling charitable, please do consider donating to freesound to help keep the site running (a link is also on the home page). Melodic snippets from recordings of me playing the swar sangam. This wonderful instrument is a combination of the swarmandal and the tampura. 15 harp strings and 4 drone/bass strings. In these recordings i am only using the swarmandal (harp) part. It is tuned to c sharp, but i have dropped the fourth note (f sharp) out of the scale. There are four packs with lots of recordings in them, strums, plucks, short improvisations. "short melodic statements" are 1-2 bars. "riffs" are 2-4 bars. "melodies" are about 30 seconds and "runs and flutters" speaks for itself. There is recording of tuning up the swarmandal in the melodies pack. The snippets were taken from recordings done on three different days so you may notice a slight difference in volume and background noise. A couple of the recordings have some ambient noise (bird tweets, wind chimes,)some of the melodies are based around a similar theme but have enough variation to be interesting/useful. Credit is not required but always appreciated. Linking to the sound allows others to find this amazing website. :-)i love to hear what you have used my sounds for!.
